The Murray State Women's Golf team stands in eighth place after the first round of the Ann Rhoads/Birmingham Southern Shootout at Bent Brook Golf Club in
The Racers came up with a score of 323 in round one, the host team
Meagan McKinney was the Racers top player with a first round 78. Andrea Downer is in 31st place after an 80, while Lauren Hughes stands in 58th position after an 82. Christi Baron fired an 83 and is in 67th place and Bethany Yates is in 92nd place after an 86.
The Racers also have some players playing as individuals.
Jena Lancaster fired an 85 and is in 83rd place, while Caroline Lagerborg had an 88 and stands in 102nd place. Jessica Wilson had a 91 and is in 114th place.
The Racers are competing in the BSU event along with several Ohio Valley Conference schools.
