Craft Finishes 24th as Racers Place 9th At Samford Intercollegiate

Michael Craft paced the Murray State Men's Golf team to a ninth place finish Tuesday in a field of 17 teams at the Samford Intercollegiate played at Limestone Springs GC in Birmingham, Ala.
Craft finished 24th after rounds of 70-75-80=225 and was the Racers top finisher in the field of 76 players. Mitchell Moore turned in scores of 78-70-78=226 to finish 28th, while Kyle Landrum came home in 35th position after rounds of 78-78-72=228. Mark Brant placed 43rd after scores of 82-74-74=230 and Jerry Price was in 62nd place after rounds of 73-86-81=240.
The Racers finished ninth with a total score of 900 after rounds of 299, 297 and 304. Austin Peay won the event with a score of 867, with New Orleans (868) coming home second and Eastern Kentucky (880) third. Illinois State (883) finished fourth and Troy (886) placed fifth.
The Racers next event is March 19th at Gadsden, Ala. in the Grub Mart Intercollegiate hosted by Jacksonville State.
