Lady Racer Golf Places Fifth In Tampa Event

The Murray State Women's Golf team fired a final round 319 and finished fifth at the Snowbird Invitational hosted by Northern Illinois at Pebble Creek GC in
The Lady Racers put their second round score with a first round 325 for a 644.
Bethany Yates and Andrea Downer each turned in seventh place finishes. Dower fired rounds of 76-82=158, while Yates carded scores of 82-76. For Yates, it was her best collegiate finish. Christi Baron finished 15th in the field of 46 competitors with rounds of 82-79=161 and Lauren Hughes came home with a 26th place finish after scores of 86-82=168. Megan McKinney had rounds of 85-85=170 good for a spot in 31st place.
Caroline Lagerborg finished 26th individually with scores of 82-86=168.
Stetson won the event with a total score of 629, while Northern Illinois (633), Appalachian State (641),
