The Murray State Thoroughbreds' game against Kentucky will be played at Brooks Stadium in Paducah, Ky., on Tuesday, May 15, at 6 p.m. The stadium is the site for the O'Reilly Ohio Valley Conference Championship Tournament, to be held May 23-26.
"Playing our baseball game with the University of Kentucky at Brooks Stadium will allow us to have an outreach opportunity into one of the largest area of our alumni, Paducah," said MSU director of athletics Allen Ward. "We have stated how important the Paducah area is to our success as a department. This is a way to say thank you for their continued support. In addition, this provides us an opportunity to showcase one of our athletic teams to the region in the facility where the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament will be played."
"Paducah is important to us," said MSU head coach Rob McDonald. "I think there will be a great atmosphere there. This will be a great opportunity for our team, and I'm looking forward to it."
Bleacher tickets will be $5 apiece, and fans can purchase tickets by calling toll-free 1 877 894-4474 or by going online to ticketmaster.com.
