Craft Finishes Second, Racer Golf fifth at JSU Event

Murray State's Michael Craft finished second at the Grub Mart Invitational Tuesday after carding a final round 74. Craft added a 71 and a 70 (both sub-par rounds) for a total score of one-under 215 at the event hosted by Jacksonville State at Silver Lakes GC on the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.

Craft finished tied with Tennessee Tech's Scott Stallings and one shot behind winner Michael McGrady of Troy who had a final round 69 to finish at 214.

The Racers as a team finished with a strong 299 in the final round for a total score of 901 and a spot in fifth place in the field of 14 teams. Columbus State was the winner at 894. JSU finished second (896) and Southern Mississippi placed third (900). Eastern Kentucky was fourth (901).

Jerry Price and Mitchell Moore finished in 20^th place with scores of 230, while Kyle Landrum placed 35^th with a 234. Nick Griffin's 251 placed him 70^th.

Mark Brant played as an individual and finished 35^th at 234.

The Racers next action is Monday at the Middle Tennessee Aldila Intercollegiate played at the Old Fort GC in Murfreesboro, Tenn.
