The Murray State Men's Golf squad stands in sixth place after day one of the 54-hole Grover Page Classic at Jackson (
The Racers fired a solid 303 in round one, but find themselves chasing North Alabama which shot an amazing 288.
Kyle Landrum fired the Racers best score of the day with a 73. He stands in 12th place in the field of 90 competitors. Michael Craft shot a steady 76 and sits in 27th place. Jerry Price cooled from his recent great play with a 77 and is in 33rd place along with teammate Nick Griffin who also carded a 77. Mitchell Moore shot an 80 and sits in 56th position.
Mark Brant of the Racers is playing as an individual and matched Landrum's 73.
