Murray State Moves into 4th Place at OVC Golf Championship

The Murray State Racers fired a 307 Monday in the second round of the 2007 O'Reilly's Ohio Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship and were able to move from seventh place into fourth. The Racers bettered their first round score by six strokes.
MSU junior Jerry Price fired a 2-over 74 in round two to move into 13th place in the field of 50 competitors. Price's only blemish on his front-nine 38 was a double-bogey on the par-3 2nd hole. He birdied CCP's signature hole, the par-3 12th before making bogeys at the 13th and 16th holes. Price finished with a birdie at 18 and shot even par on the back nine.
Senior Kyle Landrum's 4-over 76 enabled him to move to 19th place, while Michael Craft improved his standing to 26th with a 77. Sophomore Mitchell Moore fell off with an 82 after starting the tournament yesterday with a 77. MSU junior Mark Brant is in 41st place after an 80.
Austin Peay (611) is in third place, nine shots in front of the fourth place Racers (620), while
Tech's Scott Stallings is the leader for OVC medalist honors after firing a 3-under 69 today to go along with his 1-under 71 from Sunday. His 4-under 140 gives him a seven shot lead on
The OVC Championship will be decided Tuesday with a final 18 holes at the Country Club of
