Racer Golf Concludes Outstanding 2006-07 Season

The Murray State Men's Golf team enjoyed an outstanding 2006-07 season that concluded with a fourth place finish in the O'Reilly's Ohio Valley Conference Tournament.
“I thought we played some solid golf from start to finish,” Said Eddie Hunt, MSU head coach. “We had the kind of team that could win just about every time we played, we didn't always win, but it was a lot of fun being in the middle of the action most of the time.”
The Racers first win of the 2006-07 campaign came in September at their home course, Miller Memorial, at the MSU Invitational when they fired a final round 281 to win. In the final fall event, MSU scored another win at the Buffalo Rock Showdown in
MSU played 12 events and turned in nine finishes in the top-five.
The Racers say goodbye to two seniors who meant a lot to the program. Michael Craft, of
“I want to thank our seniors for their efforts over the last four seasons,” Hunt said. “This is about more than golf, it's about the student-athletes that you work with. I've seen these two develop into outstanding young men; Michael and Nick are going to have success in whatever they decide to do in their lives and we're going to miss them.”
