The Murray State Racers Men's Golf team battled the toughest field of teams this season Monday at the MTSU/Aldila Intercollegiate, played at Old Fort GC in
The field of 11 teams includes 35th-ranked
SLU was the leader after 36-holes of play with a total score of 567. MTSU was second at 576.
The Racers played two solid rounds with scores of 304-301=605 and were in 11th place.
Jerry Price led the way for the Racers with scores of 77-72=149 good for a spot in 36th place in the field of 60 competitors. Kyle Landrum was in 44th place after coming home with scores of 75-76=151. Mitchell Moore fired rounds of 81-73=154 and was in 51st place, while Michael Craft was in 53rd position with scores of 76-80=156.
The Old Fort GC is playing 7,031 yards this week and a par-72. The tournament concludes with 18 holes in the final round Tuesday.
