Racer Fans To Get Special Treatment In Louisville

Murray State fans making the trek to Louisville to open the 2007 football season have a lot to look forward to. The Racers open this year's campaign on Thursday, Aug. 30, at 6:30 p.m. CT in Louisville's Papa John's Cardinal Stadium.
Executive West Hotel, located close to the stadium, is offering a special rate for Murray State fans. Racer fans can get a room for $69 plus tax. The hotel features an on-site lounge as well as a full-serve restaurant with breakfast buffet, indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center and a shuttle service. A pre-game tailgate is planned for Racer fans prior to kickoff. From 4 to 6 p.m. CT (5 to 7 p.m. ET), a pre-game tailgate will be held at The Parrish House on Floyd Street across the street from Gate 2 of the stadium.Hamburgers, hot dogs and side items will be avialable, and a cash bar will also be on hand. Cost for the tailgate is $10 per person. Fans need to make reservations before Game Day, as they will not be available at the site.
