Lanigan Is Pepsi Murray State Student-Athlete Of The Week

Murray State football student-athlete Taylor Lanigan, a sophomore, has been named the Pepsi Murray State Athlete of the Week for his performance in the Racers' game at Illinois State.

Lanigan, playing on the MSU defense made 13 tackles Saturday, including six that were solo.

He is a two-year starter at safety for the Racers and made 73 tackles last season as a freshman, which was third best on the squad. He had two interceptions and one fumble return for a touchdown.

Lanigan's home is in Naples, Fla., he is majoring in advertising.
