MSU Golf Competes At Sea Trail Intercollegiate

The Murray State men's and women's golf teams are competing at the Sea Trail Intercollegiate and are in excellent position after 18 holes of the 54-hole event being played at the Sea Trail Resort in Sunset Beach, N.C.
After the first round, the MSU women's team is in fourth place, while the men's team is in sixth.
The MSU women's team fired a first round 311, which puts them 16 shots behind leader and host Elon Unjversity with a score of 295.
MSU's best position comes from Andrea Downer who fired a two-over 74 good for sixth place in a field of 78 players.
Alexandra Hintereger is in 11th place after a 76 and Caroline Lagerborg's 80 has her in 33rd place. Bethany Yates is in 38th position with an 81, as is teammate Ashley Yates.
Kaysin Hutching is playing the event as an individual and is in 60th place after an 86.
On the men's side, MSU is in sixth place with a score of 288. The leader is Elon with a score of 279.
Jerry Price is in sixth place after firing a 32 on the back nine to come home with a 69, Mitchell Moore is in eighth place after a 70. Cameron Carrico's 74 puts him in 48th place, while Nick Newcomb's 75 is good for 63rd place and Jared Wolfe's 76 has him in 66th place.
