The Racers defense and offense have improved as the season has progressed and lately both have been excellent. In OVC play, MSU has outscored opponents 6-1 and have out-shot opponents 46-31, including a 24-15 advantage in shots on goal. Goalkeeper Tara Isbell is allowing a goals against average of only 0.33 per game, the best in the league.
