Women's Cross Country Takes Third at Evansville Invitational

The women's cross country team out ran all other Ohio Valley Conference Teams and finished third overall at the Evansville Invitational.

The Racer's had three runners in the top fifteen. Katelyn Jones was Murray State's top finisher with a time of 18:02.57 putting her in ninth place. Karissa Magnuson finished 11^th with a time of 18:16.96 followed by Taylor Crawford with a time of 18:20.06 for 12^th place. Alaina Zanin and Asenath NaAman rounded out the top five for Murray State. All five runners set their season-best for the 8k this race.

With their increasing improvement every week the women's team will be hard to beat at the OVC Championships.

The men's cross country team finished 16^th out of 22 teams. Jordan Nikolaisen was the top finisher for the men with a time of 16:16.98 in the 8k race.

Both the men's and women's teams will be back in action the first week of November for the OVC Championships that will be held in Cape Girardeau, Mo.
