MSU Women's Golf Places Second At APSU Intercollegiate

The Murray State Women's Golf team took home second at the F&M Bank Austin Peay Intercollegiate at
The Racers had a final round 312 to go along with a first round 310 for a 622 total, two shots behind winner Tennessee Tech at 620.
Joyce Trus paced the Racers with a second place finish with rounds of 75-71=146, while Bethany Yates placed 14th with rounds of 75-82=157. Morgan Cross finished 15th with scores of 81-78=159, while Megan McKinney's scores of 79-81=160 netted a spot in 19th place. Alexandra Hinteregger placed 51st with rounds of 84-83=167.
Rachel Diuguid played as an individual and placed 60th with scores of 84-86=170.
The Racers are finished with the first portion of their 2008-09 season. They had two fifth place showings, a third and a second in four fall events.
MSU opens the spring season by hosting the Racer Classic March 2 & 3 at Miller Memorial GC in Murray, Ky.
