Clay & Muilkens Named to OVC All-Tournament Team

Murray State seniors Rebekah Clay and Krista Muilkens were named to the Ohio Valley Conference Soccer All-Tournament team.

The Racers, who won the regular season OVC championship, lost in the semifinals to Morehead State in a shootout after the game was deadlocked at 2-2 after 90 minutes of regulation play and 20 minutes of overtime play.

Clay and Muilkens appeared in all 20 MSU matches in 2008 and both scored two goals on the season. Clay had an OVC-leading eight assists and became MSU's only four-time All-OVC selection.

The senior tandem certainly left their mark on the MSU program.

Clay leaves MSU as the program's career assist leader with 21 and led the OVC this season with eight.

Muilkens leaves MSU in fourth place in all-time goals with 22, Clay is third with 24.

Muilkens was named to the All-OVC team as a freshman.

They scored in the same game eighth times in their careers, the Racers are 8-0 in those games. Together they combined for 45 goals at MSU.
