'Breds Begin Five-Game Road Swing At Memphis

The Murray State Thoroughbreds begin a five-game road swing with a Wednesday game at Memphis at 4 p.m. This is the first road game of the season for the 'Breds.
Murray State is coming off of a big 9-8 win over Bradley at home on Sunday, while Memphis is in a seven-game homestand, having beaten UT Martin 10-7 on Tuesday to improve to 2-2 on the season.
Murray State is 1-2 after a hard-fought series against Bradley, falling 2-1 and 5-3 in Saturday's double-header before winning 9-8 in come-from-behind fashion on Sunday. The MSU bats awoke in that game, as 'Breds batters pounded out 11 hits, out-scoring the Braves 8-1 over the last 5-1/2 innings.
After Memphis, Murray State travels to Thibodeaux, La., for a three-day, three-game series at Nicholls State on Feb. 29-March 2. The 'Breds then close out the road swing on Tuesday at Belmont.
