NewWave Communications Racer Classic Begins Monday

The NewWave Communications Racer Classic begins Monday and finishes Tuesday at Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Ky.

The tournament is hosted by the Murray State women's program and played on the Racers' home course.

The event will play Miller at 6,117 yards to a par-72.

The 36 holes of competition calls for 18 each on Monday and Tuesday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. Fans are encouraged to come out to the course and watch, there is no admission fee.

The Murray State program welcomes these programs and head coaches:

Eastern Kentucky University Joni Stephens

Indiana-Purdue Fort Wayne Jeff Marsh

South Carolina State Herman Belton

Tennessee Tech Bobby Nichols

University of Dayton Kylie Rogers

Wisconsin-Green Bay Lucas Hana

The Racers have one tournament in the books already after finishing second last week in Alabama.
