Racer Golf Competes At Branson Creek Invite

The Murray State Men's Golf team has an excellent chance to score their seventh win in the last two seasons in the final round of the Branson Creek Invitational in
Rain forced the cancellation of the second round Monday, meaning the tournament was been reduced to a 36-hole championship with the final 18 holes being played Tuesday.
The Racers first round 292 puts the team seven shots behind leader
Freshman Cameron Carrico led the way for the Racers with a one-under 70, good for a spot in third place, while teammate Jared Wolfe fired an even-par 70 for fifth place. Nick Newcomb was in 23rd place after a 74. Jerry Price and Mitchell Moore each had 77's and were in 48th place in the field of 72 student-athletes.
Chris Griffin is playing the event as an individual and turned in a round of 73 and was in 15th place.
The Branson Creek Golf Club is playing 7,036 yards to a par of 71.
