Tickets On Sale For Battle at Brooks

The Murray State baseball team will take on Kentucky on May 12 at 6 p.m. at Brooks Stadium in Paducah. Brooks Stadium is the host site for the 2008 Ohio Valley Confernce Baseball Tournament that will be held May 21-24.
General admission tickets are $6 and can be purchased by calling the Murray State ticket office at 270-809-3000.
"Playing our baseball game with the University of Kentucky at Brooks Stadium will allow us to have an outreach opportunity into one of the largest area of our alumni, Paducah," said MSU director of athletics Allen Ward. "We have stated how important the Paducah area is to our success as a department. This is a way to say thank you for their continued support. In addition, this provides us an opportunity to showcase one of our athletic teams to the region in the facility where the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament will be played."
"Paducah is important to us," said MSU head coach Rob McDonald. "I think there will be a great atmosphere there. This will be a great opportunity for our team, and I'm looking forward to it."
The game between the ?Breds and Wildcats will be played in Paducah for the first time in the series. The two teams were scheduled to play at Brooks Stadium last season, but mother nature intervened and the game was rained out.
