Rowing Takes Part in Midwest Collegiate Championships

The Murray State rowing team competed in the Midwest Collegiate Championship on Saturday against some of the top competition in the nation in Omaha, Neb.
The Racers finished the regatta with a fourth place finish with 73 points. The winner, Tulsa, had 94 points.
In the varsity 2- event, MSU's 'A' team posted a time of 7:14.0, which was good enough for third place. Murray State's 'B' team finished the event in fourth place with a time of 7:32.5.
MSU then took runner-up finishes in the next two events, the varsity 4+A and varsity 4+B competitions. In the 4+A, the Racers finished with a time of 6:11.4, while posting a time of 5:46.4 in the 4+B.
In the varsity 8+, the Racers came in fourth place with a time of 5:36.4, and in the 2nd varsity 8+, MSU posted a time of 5:52.4, a fifth place finish.
The Racers next meet is May 9-10, when they will travel to Philadelphia, Pa. for the Dad Vail Regatta.
