Yates & Cross Meet at the Kentucky Women's Amateur

Current Racer student-athletes Bethany Yates who will be a senior in the fall, and incoming freshman Morgan Cross will meet for the title of the championship bracket consolation first prize today at the Kentucky Women's Amateur at the Elizabethtown, Ky. Country Club.

Yates earned the spot when she defeated April Emerson 3&2, and Cross advanced with a win in 19-holes over Courtney Wallace.

Current Racer Megan McKinney advanced to the second round of championship play Wednesday before she was eliminated.

Former Murray State golfer Jessica Grace fell short in her bid to defend her 2007 title when she lost her semi-final match to Beverly Games 7&6.

Former Racer Stephanie B. Watts advanced to the consolation match of the first light with a 1-up win over Sloane Skinner, and Tina Marshall is in the 3^rd flight title match after a win over Ashleigh Howerton by a 5&4 score.
