Yates and Cross Post Solid Finishes At Kentucky Open

Two Murray State women's golfers turned in solid finishes at the Fifth Third Bank Kentucky Women's Open Spring Valley Golf Club in Lexington.

Bethany Yates, a senior at MSU in the fall, finished the 36-hole event in 12^th place after firing rounds of 77-76=153.

Morgan Cross is the youngster on the MSU squad as she will be a freshman in the fall. She carded scores of 79-78=157 and finished in 19^th place in a field of 55 competitors.

Yates and Cross will join their teammates in August at Murray State and look forward to the start of the fall season. The Racers' first event is Sep. 5-6 in Jacksonville, Ala. at the Chris Banister Golf Classic.
