Nick Newcomb Takes Second At Miller Memorial Invite

The home of Murray State Golf, Miller Memorial, was the place to be last weekend when the course hosted its 2008 invitational tournament.
Several former MSU players were in the field and one current player.
The championship flight came down to a playoff when MSU junior Nick Newcomb faced off with his younger brother Patrick. The younger Newcomb won the event on the fourth playoff hole. Nick Newcomb fired the low round of the tournament in round one with a eight-under par 63, he followed that with a 66 in round two for a total of 129 and a tie with his brother.

The Miller Memorial Invitational was started in 2006 and had 120 competitors in the field on the course that played to a par of 71.
