The Racers were picked second in the Ohio Valley Conference preseason poll, a year after posting a third place finish and a club record 11 victories. MSU finished 11-8 and set several program records along the way.
The Mercer Bears are also a second place pick in the Atlantic Sun Conference. Mercer was 11-7-2 in 2007 and finished second.
