MSU's Figueira Named Co-Offensive Player of the Week In OVC Soccer

Renata Figueira is the Co-Offensive Player of the Week in Ohio Valley Conference Soccer.

Figueira earned the honor after she came off the bench against Louisiana-Monroe Sunday and scored two goals on only two shots. The goals were her second and third as a Murray State player, they came in the 44th minute and 88th minute of a 3-0 Racer win.

She was also named to the Belmont Showcase All-Tournament Team along with teammate Sophie Hargreaves.

Figueira, a junior from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil shared the award with Morehead State's Jillian Birchmeier.

The Racers have had a player of the week winner three consecutive weeks. Rachel Wright was a solo winner Sep. 2, a nd a co-player of the week Sep 9.
