MSU Men's Golf Has Good Showing At Virginia Event

The Murray State Men's Golf team brought home a second place finish at the Manor Intercollegiate Tuesday in
The Racers played solid with rounds of 290-302-289=881 to finish the 54-hole event with a 12-shot lead over third place Presbyterian College. The winner was host Longwood who finished with a total of 864.
The Racers were led by Jared Wolfe who finished second with rounds of 67-76-72=215. His five-under 67 Monday was a tournament record.
Hunter Ford turned in a MSU career-best sixth place finish with scores of 75-76-69=220.
Nick Newcomb became the third Racer to finish in the top-10 of the event when he made ninth place with rounds of 73-77-72=222, while Chris Griffin finished 16th after carding scores of 75-75-76=226. Cameron Carrico finished 24th with scores of 77-75-78=230.
Mitchell Moore played as an individual and took home 16th place with scores of 79-73-74=226.
Over the past four seasons, MSU Coach Eddie Hunt's teams have recorded 10 wins and 36 Top-5 finishes in 43 events. This most recent top-5 finish marks the 12th straight for the Racers.
