The Murray State women's team had a spot in second place at the Lady Red Wolf Classic at the Jonesboro, Ark. CC after Monday's full day of 36 holes.
The Racers had scores of 316-304=620 and were eight shots behind host and leader Arkansas State who had scores of 304-308=612.
MSU's Alexandra Hinteregger was in fourth place in a field of 67 players with scores of 79-73=152, while Megan McKinney was in 10th place after scores of 79-75=154. Joyce Trus had a spot in 17th place with rounds of 79-78=157, while Caroline Lagerborg was in 24th place with rounds of 79-80=159. Andrea Downer was in 27th place after carding scores of 82-78=160.
Morgan Cross is playing the event as an individual and was in 27th place with scores of 79-81=160.
Troy was in third place at 629, while South Alabama (629), Memphis (629) and Drury (632) rounded out the top six teams.
The ASU event ends Tuesday with the final 18 holes.
