Murray State basketball fans are invited to attend Racer Fan Jam, Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7 p.m. at the Regional Special Events Center.
Fan Jam is a MSU basketball tradition when students and fans get to see the Racer men's and women's teams for the first time.
This Fan Jam will also feature a special unveiling of the new video boards and floor in the RSEC.
Admission is free and all in attendance will see both squads scrimmage.
There will be several chances for fans to interact with the MSU players and coaches, including the interactive three-point contest where fans team up with MSU players.
There will be free give-a-ways and an autograph session, plus schedule posters and schedule cards will also be available. MSU's spirit groups, Racer Band, Dunker and Air Dunker will also perform.
This Fan Jam event finds both teams with about one week of workouts under their belts and both will be shooting to win the Ohio Valley Conference title this season.
Billy Kennedy enters his fourth season with the men's program as head coach, and Rob Cross is in his second season at the helm of the women's program.
The Racers open their season Nov. 5 at home with an exhibition game with Bethel College.
The MSU women's squad has its season opener Nov. 13 at Alabama A&M.
