Downer Leads Racer Golf At Pat Bradley Invitational

The Racers stood in 14th place in a field of 15 teams at Pelican Preserve CC after rounds of 308-307=615 in what is the strongest field of teams MSU has faced this season. After two rounds, the top five teams all came from the top-100 in the national rankings.
Andrea Downer fired rounds of 73-76=149 and stood in 23rd place in a field of 80 competitors, while Alexandra Hinteregger carded scores of 78-75=153 for a spot in 47th place. Morgan Cross was in 60th place with scores of 79-77=156, while Megan McKinney's scores of 78-79=157 was good for a spot in 67th place. Caroline Lagerborg was in 78th place after scores of 82-85=167.
The Racers were one shot behind 13th place Bradley and five shots behind 12th place Florida Atlantic.
Furman was the 36-hole leader at 578, while Central Florida (580), South Florida (581), Florida International (582) and Stetson (589) made up the top-five.
The event, hosted by FIU, is being played at Pelican Preserve CC to a length of 6,193 yards and a par of 72.
The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.
