Racer Women's Golf Finishes Fall Schedule

The Racers carded scores of 308-307-318=933 and finished 14th.
Andrea Downer paced the Racers with a 35th place finish in a field of 80 competitors with scores of 73-76-78=227, while Morgan Cross rallied to a 56th place finish with scores of 79-77-78=234. Megan McKinney was a 62nd place finisher with rounds of 78-79-78=235, while Alexandra Hinteregger had rounds of 78-75-84=237 to finish in 68th place.
Caroline Lagerborg withdrew from the final round after posting an 82 and 85 in the first two rounds.
Furman was the champion of the event at 870.
The event, hosted by FIU, was played at Pelican Preserve CC to a length of 6,193 yards and a par of 72.
MSU is finished with what was a successful fall portion of the 2009-10 season.
The Racers won the Drake Creek Invitational in September and posted a second place finish earlier in October at Arkansas State.
MSU now has a break until the spring season begins with the MSU Invitational Mar. 1-2 at Miller Memorial GC.
The spring season will culminate with the playing of the Ohio Valley Conference Championship in Dickson, Tenn. April 22-24 at Greystone GC, where the Racers will defend their 2008 title.
The Racers have won a conference-best seven championships.
