Tara Isbell Named Pepsi Athlete Of The Week

Junior goalkeeper, Tara Isbell has been named Pepsi Athlete of the Week for her efforts this past weekend at Austin Peay and at home against Evansville.

Isbell recorded her second shutout of the season in Friday's match against Austin Peay, as she tallied three saves and earned her first victory of the season. Sunday, against Evansville, the Mayfield, Ky., native stopped three shots in 72:22 of action. She was credited with the victory and became the all-time leader in MSU history for wins in net, with 23 in her career.

Isbell and the Racers have now posted three consecutive shutouts for the first time in the programs history.

The Racers victory over Evansville was their first ever in the program's history.

MSU will be back in action Thursday at 3 p.m. at Cutchin Field to take on Southeast Missouri State.
