The final round of the 2009 Murray State Invitational was rained out Tuesday at Miller Memorial GC in Murray, Ky.
The field of 76 competitors began play at 8:30 a.m., but was chased to the clubhouse when heavy rain began falling at 10:30 a.m.
The course was deemed unplayable at 2:00 p.m. and the event was called.
The scores from the first 36-hole scores stood as final meaning the Murray State Blue Team defeated the MSU Gold team by three shots to win the championship.

"I hated that we couldn't get 54 holes in for this championship," MSU head coach Eddie Hunt said. "This is the first time we've had to cut it short because of weather, but our guys played good on the first day and so did Nick, it's the first time we've ever had the medalist."
