Racers Soccer Named To NSCAA All-Academic List

The NSCAA recognition marks the third-straight season Racers Soccer has been honored.
"I am very proud of the team. This award is a representation of the hard work and dedication they have put towards their school work," said head coach Beth Acreman. "It is not only fulfilling as a coach to see them succeed on the field, but to pair this with great work in the classroom is the highest achievement I could ask of them."
The awards were determined by grades from the 2008-09 academic year.
"We have had great support from both the athletic and university staff which has allowed the players to find success both athletically and academically," said Acreman.
In order to earn the NSCAA Team Academic Award, a team must post a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the academic year.
The Racers are one of seven OVC schools to earn the prestigious honor.
