The Murray State Softball program continues to build towards opening day in the spring of 2010.

Head Coach Jay Pyron and the Racers are preparing for their inaugural season.

Construction is under way at the Racers' field in the Murray-Calloway County Park and on the locker room in Roy Stewart Stadium. The construction to the field includes:

-Lazer grading

-Brand new playing surface

-Irrigation system

-New scoreboard

-Home and away bullpen areas

-Batting cage

-Perimeter fencing

-New backstop with a blocked wall and netting

-Bleacher seating

-Blocked dugouts
