Murray State-Illinois State Baseball Canceled Saturday

The overnight rains and the expected rain and snow showers throughout the day on Saturday have forced the cancellation of the baseball game between Murray State and Illinois State scheduled for 12 p.m. The two teams will attempt to play a doubleheader on Sunday beginning at 12 p.m. Both games will be seven-inning games.

The weather already forced the two teams to play a doubleheader on Friday. Elliot Frey delivered a three-run triple in the opener, but it was not enough as the 'Breds fell 5-3. In the second game, Daniel Calhoun won a classic pitcher's duel as he struckout eight in the complete-game four-hit shutout. MSU pushed across one unearned run in the 1-0 victory.
