Racer Golf Fires Amazing Round - Carrico In Line For Another Win at Samford Intercollegiate

The Murray State Men's Golf team stands in first place after 36 holes of the Samford Invitational at Limestone Springs GC in Oneonta,
The Racers did it with a round that would impress any team when they fired a 12-under 276 in the second round.
MSU had an even-par 288 in the morning 18 and had a 564 total for a 12-shot lead over second place
The Racers' afternoon was an amazing 12-under par led by Cameron Carrico who carded a six-under 66. MSU teammates Mitchell Moore tossed in a three-under 69, with Jared Wolfe coming home with a two-under 70, and Nick Newcomb a one-under 71.
The round was the best a Racer team has scored away from their home course in Eddie Hunt's eight years as head coach.
“Everything just fell in place,” Hunt said. “It is great to see the scores that our team is capable of shooting, but we still have 18 holes to play and we have to keep our foot on gas in the final round.”

The 54-hole competition will finish Tuesday with the final 18 holes beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
The Limestone Springs course is playing to a par-72 at 6,987 yards.
