Hill Named Pepsi Athlete of the Week

After putting together one of the best weekly performances in Murray State baseball history, Daniel Hill has been named the MSU Athletics Pepsi Athlete of the Week.
The distinction is the fourth for Hill this week as he garnered National Hitter of the Week accolades from Collegiate Baseball and the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Hill (Germantown, Tenn.) finished the week by going 15-for-26 (.577) with nine runs scored, two doubles, five home runs and 18 RBIs in helping the ?Breds to a 5-1 week. His biggest performance came in the series opener against North Dakota State as he went 5-for-7 with a double, three home runs and eight RBIs. He tied the single-game record for hits and home runs, while helping the team set a new single-game record with 28 hits.
On the season, Hill is hitting .407 (22-for-54) with 13 runs scored, three doubles, seven home runs and 26 RBIs.
