MSU Women's Golf Rallies To Fifth Place At Saluki Invitational

The Murray State Women's Golf team fired the low round of the Saluki Invitational Monday with a 309 and rallied to a fifth place finish at Hickory Ridge GC in Carbondale, Ill.
The Racers' 309 followed a first round 334 to finish at 643, just behind fourth place host
Drake (630) was the winner, with
MSU's Alex Hinteregger had the best finish with an 11th place showing in the field of 92 competitors after scores of 84-76=160, while Bethany Yates placed 16th with scores of 82-79=161. Andrea Downer came home in 18th place with scores of 85-77=162, while Megan McKinney carded scores of 87-77=164 for a spot in 25th place. Joyce Trus had rounds of 83-84=167 good for 36th place, while Megan Cross finished 48th with rounds of 89-81=170.
Ashley Yates played as an individual and placed 83rd after scores of 104-85=189.
The Hickory Ridge course played to a par of 72 at 5,999 yards.
The Racers' next challenge is Friday when they begin play at the Lady Rebel Invitational hosted by Ole Miss in
