MSU's Jared Wolfe Earns OVC Golfer Of The Week Honors

Murray State's Jared Wolfe was named the Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week by the league office in Nashville, Tenn.

Wolfe, a junior from Louisville, Ky., carded rounds of 73-71-72 to finish at 216 (even par) at the Larry Nelson Collegiate Invitational at the Chateau Elan Resort Woodlands Course in Braselton, Ga.

Wolfe tied for fifth overall, just three shots out of first place.

His performance helped the Racers to a second-place team finish.

Wolfe has four top-five finishes in the 2008-09 season including a pair of second-place showings.

His stroke average is 73.1 in 27 rounds.

The Racers begin play at the TSU Big Blue Intercollegiate Sunday at the Hermitage GC in Nashville, Tenn.
