Spring Practice #10
4/11/2009 12:45:00 AM | Football
The Murray State Football team held their 10th spring workout Friday afternoon at Stewart Stadium and managed to avoid the heavy thunderstorms that rolled through the region earlier in the day.
The practice was very much like the usual practice the week of a game, meaning the team worked on all phases of special teams with the kickers getting plenty of chances.
The Racers also spent considerable time in position groups.
MSU's next workout is Saturday morning scrimmage at Stewart Stadium at 9 a.m.
The Racers are gearing up for the annual MSU Spring Game Thursday, April 16. The 6 p.m. scrimmage will mark the end of the spring practice period.
MSU Athletics is offering free admission to the game and the first 500 fans will receive a free hot dog, soft drink, and chips.
Season tickets ($50 each) will also be on sale and fans can look at remaining seats and decide where they would like to sit.
Personnel from the MSU ticket office will be on hand to take orders.
The Racers open the 2009 season Sep. 3 at home against Kentucky Wesleyan.
