MSU Men Fall In Semifinals Of OVC Tennis Tournament

The Murray State Men's Tennis team dropped a 4-1 decision to Eastern Kentucky in the semifinals of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament Saturday at the Larry Heflin/Lone Oak Tennis Center in
The Racers were the No. 4 seed while the Colonels were the No. 1 seed.
MSU dropped the doubles point when Ben Clos and Jose Berardo dropped an 8-5 match, as did Jorge Caetano and Jadir Semensin 8-2.
MSU couldn't get any traction in singles play when Clos lost his match 6-1, 6-1, Berardo went down 6-1, 6-2 as did Luka Milicevic 6-4, 6-3.
Renaldo Domoney was the lone winner for the Racers with a 6-2, 6-4 win.
“I'm proud of the way our guys fought this season,” MSU Head Coach Mel Purcell said. “We were picked eighth in the preseason poll and finished fourth, and I don't think a lot of people thought we'd get this far. We've got something to build on for next season.
