MSU Soccer Ends Spring Season In St. Louis

The Racers played SLU to a 2-1 loss on Sunday in extremely windy conditions.
MSU played three 30-minute periods with the Billikens taking a 1-0 lead in the first segment.
MSU tied the match at 1-1 when Kalli McCoy scored off an assist by Danielle McMurray in the second period.
SLU got the winner with 15 minutes left for the 2-1 final.

Acreman said she is also pleased with the way her squad has played this spring.
"I wanted this game to be a challenge for our team before leaving for the summer,” Acreman said. “Our team really stepped up and played some great soccer against SLU and it was a positive step towards preparing for next season. Our team understands that they can compete with any team.”
The Racers are the defending Ohio Valley Conference champions from 2008 and get the 2009 season into gear in late August.
“We are looking forward to the 2009 season,” Acreman said. “Our team is dedicated to putting in the hard work this summer to prepare."
