Rain drops greeted the Racers at the start of practice, but quickly gave way to sunny skies as Murray State continued to work through preseason camp Monday afternoon at Stewart Stadium.
“Great spirit today. Hot day again, really, the kids have been great,” said head coach Matt Griffin. “We finished with an outstanding competition drill (third-and-long period). When we look at the tape it is going to be 50-50. The offense made plays and the defense made plays. I think we called it at just the right time and went to PAT/field goal. I think what we are pleased as most as a staff is the way they are battling through the heat.”
The Racers return to the field Tuesday afternoon at 3:35 p.m.
