Racer Soccer Drops 2-0 Season Opener At UALR

The Murray State Women's Soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision in their 2009 season opener Friday at Arkansas-Little Rock in a match played at Burns Park Complex.
Both of the Trojans' goals came in the first half.
UALR took a 1-0 lead in the 29th minute and made it 2-0 in the 37th minute.
The Racers managed 15 total shots attempted in the match with seven on goal, while UALR took 14 shots and had six of them on goal.
MSU goalkeeper Tara Isbell made four saves in the game.
"We came out slow in the first half," MSU Head Coach Beth Acreman said. "We were able to create some good scoring opportunities in the second half, but didn't put them away. We still have some things to work on and will be working hard as a group to prepare for next weekend."
The Racers will return to action Aug. 30 with a 2 p.m. game in Nashville, Tenn. against Vanderbilt.
MSU's home opener is Sep. 4 in the first day of the Racer Classic against Alabama A&M at Cutchin Field at 4:30 p.m.
