Racers Take Command At MSU Drake Creek Invitational

The Murray State women's golf team jumped to the front after 18 holes at the MSU Drake Creek Invitational at Drake Creek GC in Ledbetter, Ky.

The Racers carded a 295 and earned a four-stroke lead over second place Eastern Kentucky at 299. Austin Peay and Evansville shared third place at 306.

Andrea Downer led MSU with a two-under 70, while Joyce Trus added an even-par 72. Alex Hinteregger carded a 76, while Megan McKinney had a 77. Caroline Lagerborg had a 79.

MSU has four individuals in the field of 58 competitors.

Morgan Cross and Claudia Schwan each scored a 77, while Jilian Brake had a 90.
