The Murray State Women's Soccer team looks for their first win of the season as they host the Racer Classic this weekend at Cutchin Field.
The Racers are glad to be home after starting the season 0-2 on the road, with defeats coming against Arkansas-Little Rock and SEC powerhouse, Vanderbilt. The Racers are 16-13-2 at Cutchin Field since 2006.
The Racers welcome three teams to the event including, Alabama A&M, Georgia State and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville.
SIU-Edwardsville enters the Racer Classic with a 0-1 record after dropping their season opener to Eastern Kentucky last weekend. The Racers will look to bounce back from a 1-0 overtime defeat against SIU-Edwardsville in last year's tournament.
The Bulldogs of Alabama A&M are also looking for their first victory of the season as they enter the tournament 0-3 and have been outscored 25-2 on the season. The Racers and Bulldogs battled to a 0-0 tie last season at Bulldog Field in Huntsville, Ala.
Georgia State enters the tournament as the only team with a win, as they are 3-0 on the early season. The Panthers were Osprey Classic Champions last week as they defeated North Florida and Jacksonville in the tournament. The Panthers have outscored their opponents 10-5 this season.
