Harris Tabbed FCS Special Teams Player of the Week

One day after being named the Ohio Valley Conference Specialist of the Week, Murray State junior wide receiver Marcus Harris was honored by The Sports Network as he was named the FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week, the organization announced Monday.

Harris (St. Louis, Mo.) was honored after becoming the first Racer to return a kickoff and a punt for a touchdown in the same game. He accomplished the task by taking a kickoff back 86 yards with just over three minutes remaining in the third quarter to put the Racers ahead 52-10.

After hauling in a 13-yard touchdown reception on the next Racers' possession, Harris fielded a punt on his own 25 and raced untouched up the middle for the 75-yard touchdown.

Harris finished the game with 83 yards on two punt returns and 125 yards on two kickoff returns. He added 17 yard receiving and finished the game with 225 all-purpose yards.
