Jenkins Earns OVC Newcomer Of The Week

Jenkins did it all for MSU over the three games, he led the team in steals with 10 and was second in assists with nine.
He scored 12.3 points per game and dished out three assists per game and had a high score of 19 points against Jacksonville State.
For the week, Jenkins shot 43 percent (7-of-16) from three-point range and was perfect from the free throw line (10-of-10).
Jenkins has been named OVC Newcomer three times. He other two awards were given on Nov. 16 and Dec. 28.
MSU has received weekly OVC honors seven times now. After Jenkins' three OVC Newcomer awards, Isaiah Canaan has earned OVC Freshman of the Week honors three times and Ivan Aska was named OVC Player of the Week once.
The first place Racers have two games this week away from home. Thursday they play in Charleston, Ill., against Eastern Illinois and Saturday against Southeast Missouri in Cape Girardeau, Mo. MSU has won seven straight and are 16-3 overall and 8-0 in league play.
