Racer Women In Second At ASU - Lennartson Tied For First

LADY RED WOLF CLASSIC RESULTS
The Murray State women's golf team will try and chase down host Arkansas State in the final round of the ASU Lady Red Wolf Classic at Sage Meadows CC in Jonesboro, Ark., and Racer freshman Alex Lennartsson has a chance to win for the first time as a collegian.
The Racers carded scores of 315-296=611 and trail by nine shots after ASU recorded rounds of 298-304=602.
Lennartsson was tied for the lead the field of 47 competitors after an afternoon 2-under-par 70 to go with a morning 76 for a 146 total. ASU's Jennifer Welch shared first place with Lennartsson.
MSU's Caroline Lagerborg had a spot in fifth place after scores of 78-73=151, while Delaney Howson carded scores of 77-76=153 for a spot in sixth place.
Morgan Cross was in 16th place with rounds of 84-77=161, while Alli Weaver fired rounds of 86-86=172 for a spot in 27th place.
Jilian Brake is playing the event as an individual and shared 27th with Weaver after scores of 91-81=172.
South Alabama was in third place at 624, with Harding (645), Tennessee Tech (656) and St. Francis (NY) (784) rounding out the participants.
The Sage Meadows course is playing to a par of 72 and 6,106 yards.
The final round will be played Tuesday morning.
